As a teenager, Alfred Hitchcock begain working at W.T. Henley's Telegraph Works in 1914. Due to his training as an engineer, he initially worked in the sales department before transferring to advertising department in early 1918.

After initially moonlighting as a freelance title card designer, Hitchcock left Henley's to work full-time at Islington Studios in April 1921.

The Henley Telegraph

The Henley Telegraph was a in-house magazine published for staff at the company. The first edition of the magazine was published in June 1919.
