Writer/directory who worked in the fledgling British film industry, initially for Graham-Wilcox Productions and then for Gainsborough.

Father of the actress Patricia Cutts, who played the uncredited part of "Hospital Patient" in North by Northwest (1959) and also appeared in The Alfred Hitchcock Hour (TV).
