Directed by Graham Cutts, produced by Michael Balcon, and based on a play by Rudolph Besier and May Edginton.

Alfred Hitchcock provided the written scenario, as well as being both the art director and assistant director.

The film starred Jane Novak, Julanne Johnston, Warwick Ward, Hugh Miller, Gladys Jennings, Miles Mander, Henry Vibart, Marie Ault, and Betty Compson.
