PRINCESS GRACE'S FILM PLANS OFF

FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT

In an interview appearing today in Nice-Matin Princess Grace of Monaco announced that she had definitely decided not to appear in Alfred Hitchcock's film Marnie. Originally the shooting of the film was to have taken three months from next August. This period coincided with that chosen by the Prince and Princess tor their holiday in the United States. But Mr. Hitchcock, who is at present shooting The Birds in Hollywood — a film which has apparently presented considerable technical difficulties — had to postpone the starting date for Marnie until next year.

The Princess added that it had been her intention to distribute her salary to various charities in Monaco but that she would find other ways of fulfilling her wish.
