THE FILM WORLD

A BRITISH PICTURE FESTIVAL

The festival of British talking films, arranged by Mr. John Maxwell, of British International Pictures, Limited, will open at Malvern, on Monday. It will be held at the Malvern Picture House under the direction of Mr. Koy W. Limbert, and will run concurrently with Sir Barry Jackson's festival of old English drama. The films to be presented during the festival, which will end on Saturday, August 22, will, so far as possible, be representative examples of the progress made in British production since the introduction of sound. The opening picture will be Mr. John Galsworthy's play The Skin Game, which has been transferred to the screen by Mr. Alfred Hitchcock.
