ANTHONY PERKINS ARRESTED

Anthony Perkins, 51, the actor who played the killer in Alfred Hitchcock's film "Psycho", was arrested at Heathrow yesterday and charged with illegally importing drugs.

Mr Perkins whose address was given as care of Browns Hotel, Albemarle Street, is accused of bringing in eight grams of cannabis and three spots of LSD, the hallucinatory drug.

He had arrived on a British Airways flight from Los Angeles. He is to appear at Uxbridge magistrates court on Thursday.
