Biography
Ross Elliott was an American television and film character actor. He began his acting career with Orson Welles in Mercury Theatre, where he performed in Welles' famed radio program "The War of the Worlds".
Throughout his career, he appeared in over 100 televsion shows, including "The Lone Ranger", "Dragnet", "Lassie", "Leave it to Beaver", and "I Love Lucy". He may be best remembered, however, as playing the director in the classic "Vitameatavegamin" episode of "I Love Lucy".
